Display Value Formatting
Our data editors support format patterns, which can help you significantly improve display value readability. Editor display values can be formatted using the standard formatting mechanism. You can specify a pattern that indicate how a base type value is to be represented, when the editor is not focused.
Null Text
You can display a prompt text (input watermark) for editors with blank values. The specified text is displayed if the editor's value is null and the editor is not focused. The prompt text disappears when the editor receives focus.
