The Only No Limits TreeList Available for .NET
I am writing to you about the DevExpress components that I purchased earlier this year. I must say that it took me awhile to decide on a controlset and this involved using the various sets available on the market and working with them. I never had the chance to use the reporting features in your controlset before I finally decided on the purchase so I called the day my trial expired and talked to one of your sales reps who referred my question over to one of your tech support reps who graciously took my call as a technical pre-sales inquiry. I asked him a succinct question "In your opinion, are the DevExpress controls for reporting at least as good as <company name withheld>?" His answer was yes, he thought they were. I then asked him about various reporting scenarios and we discussed this for about 10 minutes or so all told.
I am writing to tell you that your technician was only partially correct. He could have easily said that the controls were vastly more powerful than <company name withheld> and that would have been correct but it likely would have given me further pause. Having actually used your reporting controls now, I am inclined to write you and tell you that your control set is BY FAR MORE POWERFUL than the <company name withheld> in the same way that a 2009 Mustang is likely to beat a Model T in a road race. I can say this and as yet I have not even delved into the scripting features of your report set.
All this for about the same price as <company name withheld> where you only get reporting.
