DevExpress Announces Visual Studio 11 Beta Support
Glendale, California — February 29, 2012 – DevExpress, the leading global software development tools company, today announced an update to its award-winning developer productivity suite in support of the Visual Studio 11 beta release. The integrated offerings from DevExpress alongside Microsoft Visual Studio 11 enable developers to evolve their business solutions to exploit the capabilities of the latest IDE from Microsoft. As developers begin evaluating the Windows 8 Consumer Preview and the Visual Studio 11 beta, they will also begin the process of testing their applications with Microsoft's latest operating system and developer tools. Today, DevExpress announced and provided for immediate download Visual Studio 11 beta compatible versions of DXperience subscription tools in version 11.2.9. DevExpress subscription products include Universal, Enterprise, and Windows Forms, ASP.NET, WPF and Silverlight as well as its award-winning CodeRush productivity tool.
On the way to Windows Metro
As part of the DXperience 11.2 release, DevExpress shipped tile controls for Windows Forms, WPF and Silverlight to help developers build for the Windows 8 user experience. These Windows Metro inspired controls provide support for touch enabled applications that run on the Windows 8 Consumer Preview.
