                                Hello,

                                The solution from the T680384 - Web - How to open an editable DetailView after a double click on a ListView record uses the ASPxGridListEditor.SelectionOnDoubleClick property. This property uses the ASPxClientGridView.RowDblClick event. This event, in turn, uses the ondblclick Event event that is not available on mobile devices (see the T583574 - ASPxGridView - The RowDblClick event is not raised on mobile devices ticket for details). That is why the solution from the T680384 - Web - How to open an editable DetailView after a double click on a ListView record thread doesn't work on Ipad. I suggest that you check whether a mobile device is used to set the SelectionOnDoubleClick property only for desktops:

                                [C#]
                                using DevExpress.ExpressApp; using System; using DevExpress.ExpressApp.Web; using DevExpress.ExpressApp.Web.Editors.ASPx; namespace dxT816827.Module.Web.Controllers { public partial class WebTooltipController : ViewController<ListView> { public WebTooltipController() { this.ViewControlsCreated += WebTooltipController_ViewControlsCreated; } private void WebTooltipController_ViewControlsCreated(object sender, EventArgs e) { ASPxGridListEditor listEditor = ((ListView)View).Editor as ASPxGridListEditor; if(listEditor != null) { if(DeviceDetector.Instance.GetDeviceCategory() == DeviceCategory.Desktop) { listEditor.SelectionOnDoubleClick = true; } DevExpress.ExpressApp.SystemModule.ListViewProcessCurrentObjectController controller = Frame.GetController<DevExpress.ExpressApp.SystemModule.ListViewProcessCurrentObjectController>(); if(controller != null) { controller.CustomizeShowViewParameters += (s1, e1) => { ((DetailView)e1.ShowViewParameters.CreatedView).ViewEditMode = DevExpress.ExpressApp.Editors.ViewEditMode.Edit; }; } } } } }

                                Try this approach and let me know whether it meets your requirements.

                                Thanks,
                                Andrey

                                  Thx Andrey, so is it just luck that it works on an Android tablet without any problem?

                                  Hello,

                                  If a browser on your device supports the ondblclick Event, the SelectionOnDoubleClick property should work correctly. If you are experiencing different behavior, please specify the exact model of your device and the name and exact version of a browser you are using. This way we will be able to research this behavior on our side.

                                  Thanks,
                                  Andrey
