I've had an issue for a while and tried a bunch of things,
I have got a report working just the way I want, but I need to add a summary of something else that isn't a related object at all
I just need to add a graph of that summary.
But as I said it isn't connected at all, and it's an entirely different time filter, The main report shows the last month, the summary shows the last 6 months
Perhaps is there a way to craft an sql query to base an xpview on from within the report

You can actually implement any kind of custom calculations in a corresponding report control's BeforePrint event. For example, process the target data source, calculate a summary value and then display it in a reporting control (e.g., XRLabel, XRChart).
In the How to dynamically generate a report and bind it to a DataSet in a WinForms application example, you will find how to create XRChart in code.
You can also try embedding an additional report into your main report using XRSubreport or DetailReportBand. These controls provide their own data source and filtering settings. You can adjust these settings as per your requirements and specify summary settings. With this approach, you won't need to process a data source in code and manually calculate the summary.
