[DevExpress Support Team: CLONED FROM T721998: How to show buttons on mouse over row and change their color on hover]
I'm here again on an issue related to this approach.
Basically, everything works as intended on mouse hover except for the tooltip not showing.
Is there anyway to address this?
Yes, it is possible to do so. The easiest way is to manually show a tooltip by calling the ShowHint(String, Point) method when the cursor is over a button. Please try this solution and let me know your results.
I researched this scenario and came to the conclusion that it is better to use the GetActiveObjectInfo event to display tooltips for your buttons. I illustrated the main idea of this approach in the sample I attached. Note that the code I used is a part of your CustomDrawCell code, so I recommend you implement a few additional methods to avoid code duplication. I look forward to hearing from you once you have had an opportunity to test this solution.
