As described in Mark's blog post...

adding a backtick (`) character immediately after the leading comment delimiter does not work for me, neither in F# nor C# files.

                                Fixed:

                                Kevin,

To hide the leading comment delimiter, turn on the "Hide comments delimiters if the first character in the comment is a back-tick" option.

Follow these steps to get to the Rich Comments options page:

                                1. From the Visual Studio menu, select "CodeRush\Options..." .
                                2. In the tree view on the left, navigate to this folder:
                                            Editor\All Languages
                                3. Select the "Rich Comments" options page.
                                4. Check the "Hide comments delimiters if the first character in the comment is a back-tick" checkbox.
                                Show all comments

Hi Alex, thanks. It's now working for C# but not for F#.

                                  Kevin,

I have tried to reproduce this in F# code and it works correctly.
Please take a look at the following screenshot.

Now when I move caret out of the comment, I get the following:

Would you please give me more information on which code you can reproduce this issue?

Hi Alex, I've tried in two different F# solutions. The second solution seems fine. In the first one it seems I have to click quite far away vertically below the image for the comments to disappear. Clicking vertically above the image is ok though.

I've attached the solution. I assume there must be something a bit odd with the F# code following the images.

                                  Kevin,

Thank you for the sample project. I can see the issue on your code. Please give us some time to research and fit it.

Alex, how far away is the official 18.1.13? Days or weeks? As this is not urgent (it's not production work) I'll just wait and verify on that.

                                  Kevin,

Please try the provided hotifx build. I look forward to your results.

Alex, tried. Yes it works. This is the second time I've reported a bug and had a hotfix within a few hours. The first time was about 10 years ago. Good work. :)

                                  Kevin,

Thank you for the update. I am happy to hear it works well now. Thank you for the sample reproducing this issue.
