                                  • What controls the style of the 'highlight' applied to the identifiers when using Tab to Next Reference?  By default, it's a red underline.  I would prefer it to use a style similar to "CR - Highlighting" in Tools/Options/Environment/Fonts and Colors -- can I do this, or is it hard-coded?

                                  Hello Michael,

                                  Thank you for contacting us.

At present, we do not provide a way to change the style for navigation links.

We agree with you that we should implement this possibility, so we will notify you as soon as we make any progress.

On the one hand, thank you from the prompt response and change -- that's really gratifying!

On the other hand... regardless of the color of the underline, it doesn't seem that visible to me.  I was hoping for a setting similar to the "CR - Highlighting" option.

Is there a technical limitation that limits references to only underlining, and not a full foreground/background option?

                                  Hello Michael,

I am concerned to hear that text underlining is not visible for you.

The Tab to Next Reference feature has always been working in this way (in CodeRush Classic and in CodeRush for Roslyn) - references are underlined.
There is no any technical limitation to brush full background of text (like for the "CR - Highlighting" option).
To do this, we need to introduce an option of how to distinguish references - with underlining or brushing full background.

We will consider implementing this feature in future releases.

I've noticed that in the above video, all the keywords are highlighted as soon as the first one is clicked upon, and the underline rotates between the instances.  That doesn't happen in my setup, which may be my real problem; all the keywords stay the same color.  Is there a CodeRush option for "Highlighted Reference Color"?  I do have "Tab to Next Reference" checked.

In the attached image, I have clicked on IdList and pressed tab once.

Great googly moogly, it's a VS setting I had turned off somehow, Text Editor / C# / Advanced / Highlight References to Symbol Under Cursor.

                                  Never mind and thank you.

                                  Hi Michael,

You are right, this is a built-in VS feature for highlighting references.

I am happy to hear that this issue is resolved.
