I'm currently working with your TdxLayoutControl. I have there a panel (with multiple buttons) inside a TdxLayoutItem, where I wanted to resize the buttons on resizing the TdxLayoutItem via a TdxLayoutSplitterItem. Unfortunately, the OnResize Event isn't triggered on a splitter move and I didn't find an other resize event inside the TdxLayoutControl and his containing controls.

                                    Regards
                                    Jonas

                                    Proposed Solution:

                                    My suggestion:

                                    - Please introduce a (new) 'resize' event for a TdxLayoutControl->TdxLayoutSplitterItem

                                    - or add an OnResize Event to the TdxLayoutItem

                                    - or add an OnMove Event to the TdxLayoutSplitterItem

I think this shouldn't be a big deal. Hope for a soon update :-)

First, please accept my apologies for the delay in responding. Our developers are still discussing this request. Once we have any results, you will receive an automatic message to inform you about our resolution. Meantime, I cannot guarantee that it will be implemented at all.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

                                  Best regards,

                                  Hello Jonas.

I have discussed this request with our developers. It is not quite clear to us why it is necessary to place Panels with additional control to the TdxLayoutControl. We think that it is not correct to use Panels, Containers and GroupBoxes within the LayoutControl with a view to its architecture.
You should use TdxLayoutGroups to represent containers for embedded controls. In this case, there is no necessity to catch the moment when the TdxLayoutGroup is resized. All its inner controls will be resized automatically.
Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

                                  Best regards,
                                  Ingvar.

                                  Hi Devexpress

I'm finally back on this issue. Attached my current layout. I have to arrange multiple buttons in the LayoutControl and want them to strech over the complete 'control-item-space' (red rectangle). I do this by recalculating the buttons with on the 'on-resize' of the LayoutControl. But this happens not on dragging the seperator (little red arrow), so the buttons get cut off.

By trying to use your approach with a group ('New Group'), I'm not clever enough about the 'indent' (large red arrow), because the labels like 'LastName / CompanyAddOn' changes during runtime and then a fixed indent will not give a proper arrangement of the group box.

Do you have any hint for me to reach following criteria:
                                  - Button Group needs the label (like now 'Type')
                                  - Button Group spans over the 'control-item-space', and is resized during splitter drag
                                  - Button Group indent is calculated / aligned with the other controls

Many thanks to helping me with this.

                                  Kind regards
                                  Jonas

                                Hello Jonas.

Thank you for additional information. I have discussed this suggestion with our developers, and we came to the conclusion that this feature will be useful.
So, I am forwarding this issue to our developers for further processing.

In the meantime, you can achieve the desired result by using AlignmentConstraints for this group and the editors group. In the attachment, you will find an example, which demonstrates this approach in action.

                                Best regards,
                                Ingvar.

I vote for such addition too - need to know if some controls placed inside LC and that don't have their own OnResize event handlers are being resized by LC (using splitter or anything else).
