Visual Studio 2012 RC crashes after it starts the shell due to the CodeRush extensions. I have followed other links from this bug center to nightly builds that have not helped in any regard. If there is anything that I can put forward that would help this matter please let me know and I will upload it.
I have attempted to uninstall CodeRush and all IDE tools by DevExpress to no avail. For whatever reason, VS 2012 (even though I have uninstalled and reinstalled it 5x) still thinks that DevExpress tools are installed.
EDIT: I have installed daily build titled: IDETools-126.96.36.19956.exe without any resolve to this crashing issue.
I just wanted VS 2012 to work with out without extensions, please help.
Vito: As of this time I do not have an instance of VS on this computer (this is a traveling computer) and cannot perform the attach-to-process debugging step right now. However, even after completely uninstalling all of the DevExpress products I still get the same error. In the error log it reads as:
Could not load file or assembly 'DevExpress.Refactor.Shell, Version=188.8.131.52, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=3f8e338797a7a380' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
I have attached a screenshot of what is shown upon startup of VS2012.
Hopefully this will provide some insight (I am out of the country right now and this VS2012 happened to be released while I was gone, or else I would walk through the debugging process more thoroughly).
