                                  • Hi,

I have a webpage with a gridview and few controls. I want to create a report (Cover Sheet) using above data. I need to bind a gridview data to detail 1 section and another datatable to detail 2 section. finally, another datatable or arraylist to report header section.

I have created a xtraReport and a datatable inside a dataset. I added few columns in design time to that table. In code behind I will go to populate a datatable and then bind to ialready created datatable in dataset. finally, I am going to bind it to the report.

my problem is how can I bind a dyanamic datatable to already created datatable (inside dataset) and already designed xtrareport fields in design time. I am really appriciated if you can help me to solve this matter. Thank you.

Thank you for such a detailed description. In fact, the DataSet/DataTable created at design time is used only to simplify the process of mapping report controls to datasource fields (usually, the XtraReport.DataSourceSchema Property is used for this purpose because a report's DataSource might be unavailable at design time). At that point, all you need to do is to assign the DataSet created and populated at runtime to the XtraReportBase.DataSource Property. Also, I recommend that you review the following help section:

How to: Display Multiple Data Tables in a Single Report Document).

If any part of my response is unclear, please let me know. I will be glad to help you.
