                                  • The property MaxLength of the TextEdit control work perfectly if you type the text in the control, but if you enter the text with a copy - paste, no check is made to prevent exceeding the defined maxlenght.

                                Thanks for the fast answer.
                                Yes, your sample project works, but it's a WPF application. The bug discribed is for the Silverlight TextEdit.
                                You will find in attachment a Silverlight sample project with only a TextEdit with MaxLength set to 5.
                                To reproduce the problem: copy a string with 2 chars in the clipboard, and repeatedly paste it in the TextEdit, you can paste so many characters as you want !
