The Software Cavaliers are a group of Seniors at Bowling Green State University that are all studying Computer Science. We were formed in response to an assignment proffered by the course requirements of Course 4640: Software Engineering. The responsibility of our group was tasked to offer, by the end of the semester, a robust piece of software to a client that is extraneous to the University.

We were assigned the responsibility of offering scheduling software for The Victory Center. The Victory Center is a non-profit entity in Toledo, Ohio whose mission is to provide support for people who are suffering from cancer. Our solution had to be clean, powerful, and easy to use. We also were pressed with a limited development cycle, and as such needed to develop a product in a very short amount of time.

The Victory Center requested a look and feel that was reminiscent of Microsoft's Outlook. Since we knew that time was critical, we quickly realized that we were going to need some help. Enter DevExpress. Their calendar tools were elegantly featured and provided us with the feel and functionality that our client was looking for. On the development side, their Calendar tool could not have been easier to work with. Not only were we able to provide a functioning scheduling tool within our given time frame, we easily able to customize the components to better meet our client's needs.

DevExpress allowed us to complete our semester assignment in a timely fashion and provide our client with a product that exceeded their expectations. Without DevExpress, our scheduling software would have lacked the finesse and professional feel that The Victory Center deserved.
