New Barcode Type - QRCode
QR (Quick Response) Code is a popular two-dimensional matrix barcode that consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. With the release of DXperience v2011 vol 2, QR Code support will be included as part of our WinForms Reporting platform.

As you might expect - the information encoded with a QRCode can include text, URL or other business specific data and and can be used in both commercial tracking applications and marketing campaigns aimed at mobile phone users.
Report Templates and DevExpress Report Gallery
This powerful feature is designed to simplify the process of report generation - instead of spending countless hours on individual report layouts, you can download and use pre-built report templates directly from DevExpress.com.
To do this, simply run the Report Templates dialog within Visual Studio by clicking the corresponding option in the report's smart tag...

...choose a template which best suits your needs, and click Download.

Adding splash screens to WinForms projects has never been easier with the SplashScreenManager Component. With two simple steps, you can display a splash screen when your app starts without writing any code.
