                                  • Hi,

when selecting multiple items in a dxDropDownBox with a dxTreeList inside many of the selected elements will not be shown because the dxDropDownBox does only have one "row". In contrast to the dxTagBox where all selected elements will be shown. (See attached screenshot)

Is it possible to display the selected elements in a dxDropDownBox in multiple rows like in a dxTagBox?

                                Hello,

is it possible to display the selected elements in a dxDropDownBox in multiple rows like in a dxTagBox?

Please refer to the DropDownBox - The widget doesn't display all values in its input element ticket where I answered a similar question.

Or is it possible to use a dxTreeList inside of a dxTagBox?

dxTagBox can't display dxTreeList inside its popup element.

                                  Hello Romeo,

to put it in a nutshell, there is no solution to this problem.
The other ticket confirms my assumption that there is room for improvement!

In my case I have a tree with hundreds of entries where users select up to 15 elements. If you want to check what elements have been choosen you must open the treelist expand all the levels and look if any of the checkboxes are checked. Totally impractical for this case!

                                  Hi Manuel,

Thank you for the reply. You may consider one of the following solutions:

                                  1. You can display a custom text if a lot of items are selected. DropDownBox provides the displayValueFormatter callback for this purpose.
                                  2. You can implement a custom template using fieldTemplate.
