                                  Your scenario is not clear.
Would you specify the widget name from the DevExtreme library you wish to use? Do you wish to update several data records using one server call? I hope to hear from you soon.

No problem, Let me make this clearer.

We have users that currently are using excel to manage their data. The issue is that each workbook is isolated and there is no good way to do rollup, and maintain common sub-tables.

We would like to migrate them to a PostGreSQL database backend, and use DevExtreme React DataGrid (and probably also pivot charts and tables).

I can pretty easily throw an ODATA wrapper (see above) on the PostGreSQL and the React DataGrid can use ODATA as a data source.

Fine, but is that read-only? I don't think so. But here is the catch.

                                  1. Can a person cut and paste the data from the Excel sheet into a DataGrid that is connected to the ODATA source, and then do a multi-row (bulk) update to the table?

                                  2. Can one insert new rows into the Grid and have that also update the PG database table?

                                  3. Can one create a new table in the PG database from the DataGrid?

                                Thank you for the update.

                                1. You can edit DataGrid. Just turn on settings from editing. I suggest you consider using Batch mode though because even if you modify several rows, they will be updated one by one (several server calls). Refer to T296262: dxDataGrid - How to access each updated item in batch editing mode for more information.
                                2. We do not have features to create new SQL server tables. You need to create tables manually.
                                3. It is not possible to insert multiple rows from a clipboard. You can insert data only cell by cell.

                                  Thank you.

We are going to have to find alternative methods, since the inserted Excel tables could be thousands of rows.

                                  You can close the ticket.
