                                  • Hi,

                                    So if I have 10 lines in detail transactions, and I want to group some of them.
                                    Is this possible?

                                    so if we say it's an invoice, and I sell the customer 10 items.

                                    because 5 of them is a not so important item, i want to group those 5 lines into 1.
                                    And the other 5 lines are important items so it should print each item pr row.

                                    That would mean my final invoice will have 6 lines.

                                    Thank you in advance!

                                Hello Clark,

                                You can create a report with an empty detail band and two detail report bands with the same data source to accomplish this task. The first detail report band should be a multi-column report with the AcrossThenDown layout and the second detail report band should be a table report. Also, use an expression for the XRLabel.Visible property to hide a labels in these detail report bands. Review the screencast and sample project in the attachment for more information.

                                  Hi Elliot,

                                  The idea is good, but It made me thinking that I could have two detail bands with grouping on Detail1.
                                  Then you guys have tought me that I can sum the group in the groupheader and set detail height = 0.

                                  I could use that feature here I guess?

                                  The only thing would be that I had to filter some items out of it ,

                                  So I have this script from you guys earlier:

                                  private void groupHeader1_BeforePrint(object sender, System.Drawing.Printing.PrintEventArgs e) {
                                  if(label3.Text != "100")

                                  Except it does not work in this scenario ?

                                  Hello Clark,

                                  Yes, you can calculate a group summary for the 'DetailReportBand1' report. Please review the modified sample project in the attachment.
