On a customer's Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard 64-Bit [Win32NT, V.6.1.7601.65536] system (used as a terminal server), our application with "The Bezier" theme shows an ugly large darkblue border around the form. This also affects the forms width/height and positioning. The border color is independent of the selected color scheme.
On Windows 10 and Windows 7 systems everything works well.
What can I do to avoid this?
The incorrect rendering of a form's border effects is a known limitation of Remote Desktop Applications, Citrix, etc. To overcome this shortcoming, we recommend disabling these effects via the XtraForm.FormBorderEffect property. At the same time, this workaround makes it difficult to resize forms when certain skins are used. So, we introduced two new properties that should make it easier to work with our forms under the aforementioned conditions: WindowsFormsSettings.FormThickBorder and WindowsFormsSettings.MdiFormThickBorder. Please refer to the Vector skins - A form has incorrect borders and complicated resizing when its FormBorderEffect property is set to None thread to learn more about them.
I hope you will find this information helpful.
