                                  • "Jump to file" never used to list files opened in solutions other than the current.  I don't know how many times I've opened "web.config" in one solution, then switched solutions, opened the jump to file dialog, selected "web.config" and then realize I just opened a file from another solution.  I can't imagine wanting that.  And I don't see any options to change it.

Actually, it's probably just caching somewhere...

Thank you trying the hotfix and letting us know your results.
First, try to delete the RecentFilesHistory file from the "\personal\Navigation" folder (replace %SOLUTION_ROOT% with the root folder of your solution).
After that try to reproduce the issue.

If it does not help, could you describe the structure of your solution in detail?
Which project types \ platforms \  languages do you use in your solution?
I hope this information help us research this issue.

Deleting those files fixed the problem; thanks.

OK, still happening.  And related to my other recent question.  I had one solution open, navigated to a file.  I opened a different solution, navigated to a file with a mostly similar name, I was taken to the file in the previous solution.  That file is open as "Miscellaneous Files" and is mostly a copy/paste (don't judge) of the similar file of the current solution.  When I invoke jump to symbol while viewing the miscellaneous file, and begin to type a method name, I get all methods in both files listed (even though my options were to only show matches in the current file - this also seems to get reverted).  The methods in the current solution show with the matching method's assembly namespace; the methods in the miscellaneous file show a guid.  See attachment.

Would you please clarify whether this issue occurs only in specific projects and files, or in the newly created ClassLibrary project?
It will be also helpful if you provide us with your CodeRush log files (from the "%LocalAppData%\CodeRush\Logs" folder).
I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Above comment is the first time I saw it happen outside the newly created project.  So it seems to not be specific to a project/solution.  Logs attached.

Thank you for clarification and for providing the log files. We researched them, but did not find any information related to this issue.
If I understand you correctly, you have a newly created project where the issue is reproducible. Could you please share this project with us?

                                  We greatly appreciate your cooperation.

                                • #Real Brad Wood 07.11.2019

No, not new project.  Existing production code; can't share.

                                  >> Above comment is the first time I saw it happen outside the newly created project.  So it seems to not be specific to a project/solution.

As far as I understand, you can reproduce this issue in the newly created ClassLibrary project.
If so, would you please create a new ClassLibrary project (without any production code), reproduce the issue in it, and provide us with this project?

I hope this will help us reproduce the issue on our side.

                                • #Real Brad Wood 07.15.2019

The newly created project no longer exhibits the problem.  A brand new project doesn't either.  It's currently limited to my production solutions.  I've noticed that, not only does the jump to file dialog show files from other solutions (if I've opened them recently), but my numbered bookmarks are shared across all of the solutions.  I don't think I can help you to reproduce, though.

                                • Pavel A (DevExpress) 07.15.2019

Thank you for the clarification. I am concerned to hear that the issue is reproducible with the bookmarks as well.
It seems like the issue may be related to the structure of your solution.
Which project types \ platforms \  languages do you use in it?
If you describe this information in detail, I will create a similar solution and try to reproduce the issue in it.

                                • #Real Brad Wood 07.15.2019

Well, OK.  Our solutions look like this (you ready for this?):
API.sln (WebAPI - references other projects in their own folders as below)
                                      Jade js/node solution
cypress automation (only should be referenced by VS Code)
Database.sln (actual DB project that builds to DACPAC)
                                      AngularV1.proj referenced by API
V.Ancient_MVC (Same MVC version as below but different razor syntax.  No clue what determines the markup version)
                                      V.NotAsAncient_MVC (System.Web.Mvc v5.2.6)

                                  That's a start anyway...

                                  Thank you for the information.
I have created solutions with a similar structure and managed to reproduce the issue.
We will research this issue and let you know as soon as we have any results.

We did some changes that fix the issue.
Please download and install the build with the hotfix: CodeRush- and let us know how it works on your side.
