                                  • I have a parent object called 'Customer' with a collection of 'Counts'.  When I have a child 'Count' detailview open, use the StateMachine transition action to change the 'Count.Status' property (Transition set to Save and Close), the Customer.Counts listview does not automatically update with the change to the 'Count.Status' that was made via the StateMachine transition.

A detail view opened from another detail view's collection doesn't have 'State Machine' actions.

As it is not clear how you open this detail view we can't diagnose the issue you faced. Please detail your scenario or, better, provide a simple example that illustrates it and the behavior you faced in action. This way, we will be able to find the cause and a way to solve it.

I have setup 'State Machine' via the web interface for the child objects.  The Transition actions definitely show up when the detailview of child object is opened from the parent_detailview.child_listview.  When I click the Transtion action, it changes a property value on the child.  That property is displayed back on the parent_detailview.child_listview.  If "Save and Close" is enabled for the Transition, the parent_detailview.child_listview does not update to the new property value.  However, if I do not have "Save and Close" enabled for the Transition and I click "OK" on the child's detailview after I click the Transition action, the parent_detailview.child_listview does reflect the change made by the Transition.

Thank you for the additional information. Although it is still unclear how to reproduce this issue, I suggest that you check if disabling the AllowFastProcessListViewRecordActions option described in the Faster rendering and other performance optimizations for popular Web UI scenarios in XAF v16.1 ticket helps. If not, it will be helpful if you can send us a sample project reproducing this issue or a video demonstrating it in action.
