                                  • Hi,
Our is Asp.Net 5, MVC6 project and we are using DevExtreme controls in  lot of modules of our project. To serve the reporting needs of application, we decided to go ahead with Devexpress MVC reports.

I was trying to manually integrate MVC reporting extensions in our project and was following this link
                                    https://documentation.devexpress.com/#XtraReports/CustomDocument115310

Above link does not target Asp.Net 5 platform. Are Devexpress MVC reporting extensions supported in Asp.Net 5? I tried searching answer for this but could not find much.

                                  Hi Nisheet,

Yes, currently, our classic MVC extensions are not designed to work with ASP.NET MVC 6. In any case, it is possible to use our HTML5 Document Viewer and Web Report Designer components in an MVC6 application. We need some additional time to prepare a sample project for you. Please bear with us.

                                Hi Nisheet,

Use the approach described in the T360117: How to integrate DevExpress reporting controls for ASP.NET MVC into an MVC6 web application KB article to run DevExpress reporting components in your ASP.NET MVC 6 application. I have attached the updated version of the sample project provided in the mentioned article for version 16.1.
To run this sample project perform the following steps:

                                1. Build the "ReportsLibrary" project to get the NuGet package with all required DLL references. This NuGet package references ASP.NET Core MVC application.
                                2. Install this NuGet package from the ReportsLibrary" project folder, or any other folder where the DevExpress.XtraReports.16.1.6.nupkg package is located.
                                2. Restore Bower packages if it is necessary (to load the script libraries that are required for DevExpress HTML5 reporting components).

Let us know if you have any further questions regarding this approach.
