                                  • Hi DevExpress Team,

                                    It would be a very useful feature to add a FocusedRowChanging event to the ColumnView class, allowing programmers to prevent row focus from changing.

                                    For example:

                                    private void myGridView_FocusedRowChanging(object sender, FocusedRowChangingEventArgs e)
                                      if (someCondition)
                                        e.Allow = false;

                                Hi Stewart,

                                Thank you for the suggestion. We will consider its implementation regarding future updates of our suites.
                                Currently, you can implement this event in a grid control descendant by overriding the GridView.DoChangeFocusedRowInternal method. We recommend that you refer to the How to create a GridView descendant class and register it for design-time use article.

                                The current version of the XtraGrid already has the ColumnView.BeforeLeaveRow event that can handle this logic.
