                                    I am having a mvc grid view which is grouped by default and i have a check box outside the gridview when the end user clicks the check box the rows must be ungrouped how can i achieve this can u please provide me with a sample as i cant figure out how to do it

                                    Note : the Check box is not a part of the grid

                                You can use the GridView.ClearSort method for this purpose. Handle the client-side MVCxClientCheckBox.CheckedChanged event and call the MVCxClientGridView.PerformCallback method in it. Then, you can call the ClearSort method in the BeforGetCallbackResult event handler.

                                I've attached a sample project to demonstrate this approach for you.

                                  P.S.If you need to collapse all rows in the GridView, you can use the ASPxGridView.CollapseAll or the ASPxClientGridView.CollapseAll methods.
