                                  • Hi

                                    The following bugs occur on both MS VS 2008 and 2010.

                                    1. Xaf components from the toolbox can't be used.

                                    2. Error = The type 'Solution5.Web.Tablet2' already contains a definition for 'IC'
                                    and others is caused for below code.

                                    [C#]
                                    <cc4:ViewImageControl ID="VIC0" runat="server" />

                                    The above code after saving automatically turns to this and cause error.

                                    [C#]
                                    <cc4:ViewImageControl ID="VIC0" runat="server" > <cc4:ThemedImageControl runat="server" UseLargeImage="True" ID="IC"></cc4:ThemedImageControl> <cc4:ThemedImageControl runat="server" UseLargeImage="True" ID="IC"></cc4:ThemedImageControl> </cc4:ViewImageControl>

                                    There are other controls showing the same behaviour. Upon deleting and saving again same thing happens. I am trying to use them in splitter control, may be thats causing the behaviour.

                                    3. When VS2010 show error creating control (Object Reference not set to the instance of the object.)

                                    Fix -
                                    Override oninit method with following condition.

                                    [C#]
                                    protected override void OnInit(EventArgs e) { if(!DesignMode) base.OnInit(e); }

                                  Hello Jaspreet,
                                  Thank you for the report. We are researching this issue and will get back to you as soon as we can.

                                  Hello Jaspreet,
                                  I researched your project and could replicate only the first problem. I have created a separate ticket for it: Templates.Web - Cannot drag and drop XAF components from the Toolbox on the web page.
                                  For the second problem, I tested the following markup:

                                  [HTML]
                                  <body> <form id="form1" runat="server"> <div id="Components"> <xc:aspxprogresscontrol id="ProgressControl" runat="server" /> </div> <div></div> <dx:ASPxSplitter ID="ASPxSplitter1" runat="server"> <panes> <dx:SplitterPane> <ContentCollection> <dx:SplitterContentControl runat="server" SupportsDisabledAttribute="True"> <dx:ASPxPanel ID="ASPxPanel1" runat="server" Width="200px"> <panelcollection> <dx:PanelContent runat="server" SupportsDisabledAttribute="True"> </dx:PanelContent> </panelcollection> </dx:ASPxPanel> </dx:SplitterContentControl> </ContentCollection> </dx:SplitterPane> <dx:SplitterPane> <ContentCollection> <dx:SplitterContentControl runat="server" SupportsDisabledAttribute="True"> <cc4:ViewImageControl ID="VIC0" runat="server" /> </dx:SplitterContentControl> </ContentCollection> </dx:SplitterPane> </panes> </dx:ASPxSplitter> </form> </body> </html>

                                  I saved and reopened the designer and there were no duplicate controls or errors.
                                  The third problem is completely unclear, as it is unclear what control you are talking about.
                                  So, I would ask you create separate tickets for the remaining two problems, and provide us with a small video or the exact repro steps so that we can replicate it locally. Please do not post this information within this ticket, because the Support Center concept does not allow discussing multiple problems within a single thread. Thank you for your understanding.
