                                  • Hello,
I would like to add separate "lightweight" web pages for mobile devices in my XAF application. It will use XPO for database access and also maybe share some of the business logic with the main desktop application. My question is: What is the best way to integrate this project with my existing XAF web application? I would refer to this http://www.asp.net/learn/whitepapers/add-mobile-pages-to-your-aspnet-web-forms-mvc-application ASP .net article which gives instructions in this direction, but when I tried to redirect an incoming request to my mobile page, I kept getting an ASPIMPERSONATING error, which I couldn't fix (please note that I've tried the solution recommended in B155972, but it didn't work). Can you please help me with some suggestions on the best practice for adding mobile pages to a devexpress web application?
                                    Thank you,
                                    Rares

                                  Hello Rares,
I think that it will be difficult to implement a mobile version using redirection due to specifics of the XAF implementation. I suggest that you create a separate web site in your XAF solution and change XAF templates (Default.aspx, Dialog.aspx, etc.) in it, as you require. This web site can be published in a subdomain.
Also, please note that some complex controls used in XAF do not fully support mobile devices. For example, some events can be handled incorrectly by them. So, to provide a fully-functional mobile version, you will have to provide custom UI elements, such as a navigation control and grid. XAF provides different ways to do this - implementing custom action containers, list editors, etc. Almost all these tasks are described in our documentation and Support Center, and you can find a solution for them here. If you experience any difficulty, please feel free to open corresponding tickets in our Support Center.
                                  Thanks,
                                  Anatol
