I'd say flexibility is first. The BeforePrint event right now is my very best friend. It allows me to do very complex logic to display very critical pieces of information accurately in a way that draws the reader's attention. Beyond that, the stability of both the report writer (which is excellent) and the speed of generating these reports (also excellent) is top of the list.
