Bruno found the ExpressQuantumGrid was powerful and flexible enough to be used for all of the utilities listed above.

Situation

For the WMatch application, Bruno needed a grid with:

  • Two sections (the source and destination folders) with columns showing the filename, size, modification date on both sides.
  • The grid should also be flexible enough to allow owner drawing, as the differences were highlighted in bold or italic and the middle column had glyphs to indicate differences.
  • The columns should be in sync: when you resized a column in the left, you should resize the same column in the right pane. He didn't want to use two grids, but only one.
