Breaking Changes in v2009 vol 3.5

This page lists important behavior and API changes, which were introduced in this version. If you already have projects using DXperience, you will need to peruse this list in order to understand the changes you might need to make to your source code to support this new release.

Note that we only publish the changes to the public interface of our controls. We reserve the right to change the protected, internal, or private interfaces when needed.

DXPrinting for WPF

• BC720: The IRootDataNodeSource interface has been moved to the DevExpress.Wpf.Printing.DataNodes namespace in the DevExpress.Wpf.Printing assembly.

eXpressApp Framework

• BC585: Validation - The signatures of certain methods have been changed

  Criteria is now specified via the CriteriaOperator object instead of a string in the following methods:
  IsSearchedObjectsExist, RuleSearchObject class
  GetSearchCriteriaCore, RuleSearchObject class
  GetSearchCriteria, RuleSearchObject class
  GetCriteria, RuleUniqueValue class

XtraPivotGrid Suite

• BC582: The Prefilter dialog now also displays invisible fields.

XtraReports Suite

• BC726: The XRDesignFormExBase.xrDesignPanel public field has become protected.

  Use the XRDesignFormExBase.DesignPanel property instead.
