XYDiagram - Add the capability to specify minimum margins

Is there any status update on this? It has been over a year in TBD. For as fantastic as the rest of the abilities in the chart control are, it seems strange that there is a hard-fixed padding in the first place let alone being that much trouble to implement a property to adjust it. Is there a possibility of providing a workaround at all of this or possibly where to go in the source to make an adjustment? Also, if possible, is there the possibility to create a descendant of ChartControl that could override this behavior?

At present, we don't have any plans to implement this functionality in the near future. I'm afraid I cannot provide you with any estimate on this, because this depends on a variety of factors. Please stay tuned, and we'll keep you informed on our progress. If you receive a message with the status changed to Planned, it means that we will try to implement the functionality in the next major release. Unfortunately, we cannot provide you with a suitable workaround method this time.
