It is suggesting that the following line is using a redundant initialization. This one will not go away even after saving and closing the file.

I hope that the screen shots are making it through, if not please let me know. They are important in the demonstration of the error.

I am using the latest build of 9.2.3.
Visual Studio 2008 SP1
Windows XP SP3

As suggested in another error that I submitted I went ahead and deleted the cache folders and the error went away. Below is the post asking to do this for another error. Is there an easier way to do this? Is there a menu item to force the re-check of a file in case these get corrupted? We are evaluating CodeRush for our department and items like this are starting to cause concern among the team members that are evaluating the product.

"BTW, the problem might be related to our cache files, so I suggest that you try to delete them, and check if this makes any difference. You should remove the following folders:

%AppData%\CodeRush for VS .NET\1.1\AssemblyCache
%AppData%\CodeRush for VS .NET\1.1\SolutionCache

Please keep us informed on your progress."

Hi Brian,

You're quire right in your assumption that clearing the cache may help resolve this problem. By default, CodeRush provides a "Clear Project Cache" action. To simplify the process, you can define a custom shortcut linked to this action. Follow these steps to get to the Shortcuts options page:

1. From the DevExpress menu, select "Options...".
2. In the tree view on the left, navigate to this folder:

    IDE

3. Select the "Shortcuts" options page.

Does the problem disappear after clearing the project's cache?

Thanks,
Serge
