Hello,
We're glad to inform you that this feature has been implemented in the next major version of the XtraPrinting Library (v2009 vol 3). In this version, you can use the PdfExportOptions.PasswordSecurityOptions property of a report, to access these two properties: OpenPassword and PermissionPassword. The first property specifies a password only for opening PDF files. And, when the second property is specified, the PermissionOptions property comes into effect, which provides access to additional options that are managed by another password. So, for the second security level, you can restrict allowed changes to the document, enable or disable copying of its content, specify its printing resolution and enable access to the document by external screen readers.
In case of any difficulty with using this functionality in XtraPrinting, please write to our Support Team or refer to the XtraPrinting documentation, which will be supplied with the official release of v2009 vol 3. Note that we're planning to release XtraPrinting v2009 vol 3 later this year.
Thanks, George.
R&D, .net Team.
To everyone who tracks this ticket:
It appears that we forgot to mention that the capability to sign PDF using digital certificate wasn't implemented in the context of this suggestion. We found this task rather complex, and decided to reactivate the Export to PDF - Add the capability to sign PDF files using a digital signature suggestion in this regard. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.
Thanks,
Alex
