Description
Proposed Solution

I am missing a lookup control (more than one column in drop down list, templated list, etc.)

We already have a suggestion to support multiple columns in the ASPxComboBox:

ASPxComboBox - ability to represent data in several columns in the dropdown list is required

But are you planning template support also?

Yes, we're planning to support templates for ASPxComboBox items as well.

Workarounds:

1) Use an ASPxDropDownEdit and put an ASPxGridView in its DropDownWindowTemplate property. The ASPxGridView allows you to format values in its cells in different manners.

2) Copy the necessary data to an in-memory DataTable and format its values as your needs dictate. Then use this DataTable as a data source for the dropdown list of your ASPxComboBox.

Hi,

This functionality can be implemented in the context of the following suggestion:

ID: S36012 (Provide a new lookup editor, containing ASPxGridView within a dropdown list)

That task is almost complete, and will be included in the next major version (DXperience v2010 vol 2). Meanwhile, we will still keep this suggestion as Active, because the ASPxComboBox is a more lightweight control, and supporting templates for its dropdown rows would be a useful enhancement.

Thanks,
Serge
