Description
Steps to Reproduce

Hi,

i have a small Problem with the Printing Library. I merge several Components into one Document. This works great until to first Page is an RichEdit Control. When the first Control is an RichEditControl then the CreateDocument creates an RichEditPrintingDocument, and when i export this one then to XLS or TEXT it throws an InvalidCastException:

Das Objekt des Typs "DevExpress.XtraRichEdit.Printing.RichEditPrintingDocument" kann nicht in Typ "DevExpress.XtraPrinting.Native.PrintingDocument" umgewandelt werden.

PDF/MHT/HTML works fine! Sorry for setting Urgent, but i have an Installation out there where i probably need at least the XLS Export!

thx
Martin

Hello Martin,

Unfortunately, we've come to the conclusion that currently there is not any built-in capability to export the RichEditControl to XLS file. I've registered a corresponding suggestion from your behalf covering this functionality. Please track our progress at PrintingSystem link - Export - Add the capability to export the XtraRichEdit control to XLS. For now as a workaround you can use standard RichTextBox to add rtf file to your document. I've attached a sample project, illustrating this approach in action. Please refer to the attachment and let me know if you need any additional clarification.

Thank you,
Valery

Thx for the Info Valery,

but why throws the Export to Text also an Exception?
