                                  • I'm trying a generic question which I've logged as a support ticket but which so far is not answered. I'll try the community directly in the hope it'll catch a wider audience.


                                    If I download the DE product and install it now it registers online successfully. The licence won't, unfortunately, be renewed. If I install what's legal today the day after the licence expires will it still register successfully or does the product implode? I mean, if I download what was paid for it should continue to work and install okay after the licence expires? In a sense, if it doesn't, then it's sort of like buying a new car knowing the warranty expires after three years but after three years, the car will still start and run, no?


                                    I'm not looking for a perpetual licence where I'd want all product downloads to work no matter what day I download them, only to get some clarity on what's legally installable at this moment in time. If I can't use product downloads today in five months or so then I'd like to know now before I commit to any further development using them.


                                    Any advice would be appreciated.

                                Per the Licensing FAQ:



                                     Can I continue to use the products contained within a subscription if the subscription expires and I choose not to renew?



                                     

                                Absolutely. You can continue to use products which you have licensed
                                 and paid for...as long as you require. When a subscription expires, it
                                simply means that you will no longer be issued any product updates or
                                new product releases.

                                An expired subscription can be renewed. If
                                you do not renew your subscription on the 13th month after purchase,
                                your renewal cost will increase on a monthly basis. Feel free to contact
                                 our client services team for more information on renewals and product
                                costs once your subscription expires.
