                                  • Hi

I have two types of events in my database, appointments and tasks (just like outlook). A scheduler component displays all the appointments and I am using a grid component to display the tasks. See here

The scheduler displays the recurring occurrences of appointments correctly as I select the dates in the date navigator. I want to achieve the same behaviour for the tasks (displayed in the grid component below). So on the period change event of the date navigator I want to update the grid as well. This works fine if I don't have recurring tasks. So my question was that can this be achieved? If not is DevX planning to implement this in future releases?

You mentioned SchedulerGridConnection component, but this just displays the parent events in a grid. I want to display the individual occurrences based on a date selection. Is this possible?

I would like this feature to work like Outlook but I am looking for any solution right now.

                                    Cheers

                                    Randeep

                                • Hello,

I am afraid I do not fully understand your question. Would you please explain the task in greater detail? A couple of images to demonstrate the expected result would be appreciated. For now I suggest you take a look at the SchedulerGridConnection component (the "TcxSchedulerGridConnection Object" help topic). If I understand the desired functionality correctly, it may help you accomplish the task.

                                  Hi Paulo,

Sorry about the ambiguity I have update the original post.

                                  Cheers

                                Hello,

Thank you for the detailed clarification. I think now I understand your task. It is more complicated than simple use of the SchedulerGridConnection component. By default, our Scheduler does not support this functionality. The only approach I see is to create a necessary control event for the current day in a chain via the CreateOccurrence method. Please refer to the cxScheduler retains bell ticket. Hope, the solution provided there will help you.
