using the latest bits, it seems that the issue is still present:

                                    http://www.devexpress.com/Support/Center/Question/Details/B206513

When I have many tabs, drag & drop behaves weird and not as expected. For example, automatically scrolling doesn't work and when a tab is dropped at the edge, it is inserted at the very beginning but the tab bar didn't scroll there.

This behavior seems incorrect to me. I have passed this issue to our developers. They will research the issue.

                                  Hi,

I downloaded and tried the fix but the issue isn't really resolved. The whole document manager tab reordering and scrolling is completely messed up.

Dragging a tab to the edge, doesn't really automatically scroll the tab further. So you have to do multiple drag and drops until you reach a position which is far off the screen.

Additionally, the buttons on the tab bar to scroll the tabs are acting very weird: when you click to scroll left multiple times until you reach the very first tab in the row, the scroll left button is disabled but you still can click on it. Then it seems to go to the far right edge and also CHANGES a tab selection! which is not good at all ;-)

Clicking the scroll right, works as expected. Reaching the far right tab disables the button and you cannot click it anymore.

                                  Regards,
                                  Stefan

                                • I have run my application with this public fix and can say that it operates properly for me. I have captured a video to illustrate this. Would you please send us a video illustrating the behavior you have faced?

                                  Hi Gosha,

I've attached a zip file containing three files:

all tabs PM.png: shows the form maximized with all available tabs. note the very first tab is called dashboard.

no-auto-scroll-at-edge.mp4: i was expecting that the tab bar automatically scrolls the left (hidden) tabs into the view when I go to the edge. It doesn't seem to do that. Having a lot of tabs makes reordering hard.

tab-selection-changes-when-scrolling.mp4: note that I only click the scroll left button but it seems that instead of scrolling tabs are selected/activated. Also not that I'm never able to reach the first tab (which is called dashboard). Clicking left scrolling somehow activates other tabs instead of scrolling.

                                  Hope this helps.

                                  regards,
                                  Stefan

I think I've resolved the mystery around the scroll buttons: http://devexpress.com/Support/Center/Question/Details/Q413599

Automatic scrolling of the tab is still an open issue.

                                  Thanks,
                                  Stefan

                                • I am glad to hear that you have managed to solve one of the problems.
Regarding the issue with the autoscroll tab feature on dragging tabs, the DocumentManager doesn't support this feature. I have created a separate ticket concerning this issue. Please see the How to scroll DocumentManager tabs on dragging tabs ticket.
