Since MVC does not have a Designer, you probably cannot provide any design tools to automatize configuration process but you have a great tool like CodeRush which enable to hook into the code editor. There is a similar approach for string.Format method which in my opinion can be used for MVCx extensions. So when I'm over a format item parameter I can bring up a view and configure the format string as I like without having to modify the code. Can you prepare similar approach for MVCx controls? Maybe you can reuse same design forms as for ASP.NET controls?
Thank you for contacting us. Our CodeRush tool already provides a useful feature that may be helpful in your scenario:
