I need to show two table in first page in one report . so i create two subreport for each table with fixed 250 (half of page height) height But if content has more characters, it extent to next page. If first table exceed to size of supreport height, then those row no need . so no need to show second row in both table. How to fit two subreport with fixed height ? S1,S2 are subreport.or is there any split control with fixed height? two table contents are dynamic content .We aiready limit to 5 records in both table. but if content has more character like screenshot , how to resolve this Issue ? we use report.CreateDocument(true) for background process. i attached our project in attachment with correct report RptBadActor_Modified.pdf . please see Issue_Onepage.png screenshot for reference. Please reply as soon as possible.

As suggested in the B139197 thread, set the XRTableCell.CanGrow property to False for each table row cell, if you want to prevent table rows from being automatically expanded according to their content. Let me know whether this helps, or you mean a different report layout.

                                  Thanks,
                                  Alex

                                Hi Rajagopal,

Please note that the subreport isn't limited to the XRSubreport container. At present, only the report's location is taken into account when producing a report. Please refer to the corresponding suggestion ticket registered in our Database: XRSubreport - How to enable CanShrink and CanGrow feature. If you find this feature useful, track its status to stay informed on our progress.
As an immediate solution, I can only suggest that you disable the CanGrow feature for a subreport's controls, and also limit the number of records displayed in the subreport (see Limit top n per group). Hope this helps.

                                Thanks,
                                Alex

                                  Hi,
I did not get complete answer. I have dynamic content in each datatable . so i can not set cangrow to false. If some table rows exteed to first subreport height (250) , i do not need to show those rows. How to fit two subreport in one xrReport with fixed height? similarly how to fit table in one subreport with fixed height ?

                                • Hi Rajagopal,

Unfortunately, a subreport's height cannot be limited when displaying a report using the XRSubreport container. If you find this feature useful, you're welcome to post the corresponding suggestion to our database. Our developers will be glad to consider it, and let you know their decision. I'm afraid we cannot provide you with a suitable solution for the time being. Sorry for the inconvenience.

                                  Thanks,
                                  Alex

I would like to add my vote to the inclusion of this feature. I have to construct a report that fits a preexisting template. Ih the middle of the report i need to show a list of items. I have a limited space but the number of items might exceed that. That is a problem with the template. My problem is that i cannot have that section growing larger than the available space. A fixed height is exactly what is required and the reason i chose to use a subreport rather than a detail report.

                                • Hi Andrew,

Thank you for the update. Once we make a decision, we will update the XRSubreport - How to enable CanShrink and CanGrow feature ticket accordingly.
