                                  • Hi !

                                    I am using the mutually exclusive check box extender in the devexpress treelist. i wanted two exclusive checkboes and and so i have used the Ajax Mutually exclusive check box extender .

                                    It works fine other then other than when i m trying to expand the tree list node it gives me out a message in the message box saying :
                                    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

                                     Extender control 'accepted_chk_extender' is not a registered extender control. Extender controls must be registered using

                                    RegisterExtenderContorl() before calling RegisterScriptDescriptors().

                                    Paramaeter name : extender control
                                    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

                                    Can anyone please help me with this error.

                                Hi Ravi,

                                Please try our suggestions from the report RegisterExtenderControl callbackpanel. If the problem still persists, and you encounter any difficulties when searching for the cause, please provide your project. We can then take a look at it to determine the cause, and try to find a solution.

                                Thanks,
                                Serge

                                Hi Serge !

                                I have managed to fix my issues the only issue being i have a text box in my tree list and i am trying to validate it using the FilteredTextBoxExtender and then it still gives me out the error message.
                                All that i am doing is to use the FilteredTextBoxExtender and validate my text and it still gives me out the

                                RegisterExtenderContorl() before calling RegisterScriptDescriptors().

                                Paramaeter name : extender control

                                message , can u please look into it for me.

                                regards

                                Ravi

                                Hi Ravi,

                                As stated in issue ID: Q91789, extenders are incompatible with controls that update their content using the callback technology. To, there's no ultimate solution for this problem. It is still unclear how to reproduce this issue. If you can post a small sample project reproducing it, we'll research it and try to find a solution for your scenario.

                                Thanks,
                                Michael.

                                Hi Serge !

                                I have jst managed to reproduce the issue on ur own peice of code from the example E1241.
                                I have actually left a text box in the template.

                                You could reproduce the error by adding a Ajax FilteredTextBoxExtender from your side to the text box which i have added and when u try to expand the tree list node then u get the message

                                RegisterExtenderContorl() before calling RegisterScriptDescriptors().

                                Paramaeter name : extender control

                                hope that helps

                                regards

                                Ravi

                                Hi Ravi,

                                Thank you for the additional information. I've reproduced this issue. Unfortunately, the only solution we've found is to disable callbacks (set the ASPxTreeList.EnableCallbacks property to False).

                                I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

                                Thanks,
                                Michael.
