                                  • How do I get a cell value based on the column name (not field name or caption) and visible index?

                                0

                                Hi Daniel,

                                You should use the GetRowValues method to determine a row cell value in the ASPxGridView. To determine a column by its Name property use the following code:

                                [C#]
                                private DevExpress.Web.ASPxGridView.GridViewDataColumn GetColumnByName(string columnName) { for(int i = 0; i < ASPxGridView1.Columns.Count; i++) { DevExpress.Web.ASPxGridView.GridViewDataColumn column = ASPxGridView1.Columns[i] as DevExpress.Web.ASPxGridView.GridViewDataColumn; if(column != null && column.Name == "SomeValue") return column; } return null; }

                                Thanks,
                                Plato
