i was speaking about ObjectPropertyEditor which when u click the button is showing a detailview and i was expecting view's info to be saved automatically (the same as the other views)
for example the detailview that is shown when u click the new button of the LookupPropertyEditor has its info automatically saved by Xaf.
is it a bug?
if no how can i use the same mechanism that xaf uses to save view info?
Hi Apostolis,
Yes, it is possible. See a zipped PopupWindowShowActionHelper.cs file in the attachment. This file should be moved to the '...\Sources\DevExpress.ExpressApp\DevExpress.ExpressApp.Win\Core\' folder.
Thanks
Dennis
oops forgot the project
Hi Apostolis,
Thank you for the feedback.
We tested your project. In the latest build it works fine for us.
The file I sent to you should be moved into the corresponding folder (...\Sources\DevExpress.ExpressApp\DevExpress.ExpressApp.Win\Core\). Then it is necessary to rebuild XAF sources to get new dlls to use in your application. In this instance all will work as expected.
Note that if you store new assemblies in GAC, XAF design time won't work. So, you need to use these dlls in your resulting application.
Please let us know about your results.
P.S.
Note that this fix is included in the 7.3.7 update of the suite, which will be available next week.
Thanks
Dennis
