The DevExpress ASP.NET Grid View (ASPxGridView) provides a built-in binary image editor (ASPxBinaryImage) allowing end-users to upload images to binary image column.

In this demo, the grid contains the Photo column of the GridViewDataBinaryImageColumn type. Click the Edit link to display a grid edit form. In the form, you can see the embedded binary image control that allows you to upload an image to the Photo column.

Note that you can try the ASPxBinaryImage control's image upload functionality in the Binary Image Editing demo as well.
