Our Commitment to Innovation
In November 2011, we announced DXv2, our next generation of software tools designed to bridge the gap between today’s
tools and tomorrow’s investments. DXv2 is not a single release but instead is a generation of tools evolving over time to
address the complex challenges facing developers. Our customers know they can rely on these tools to create stunning new
user experiences, to deliver support for natural user interfaces like gesture support for Touch and to create visually stunning experiences
across all platforms and technologies.
Our latest release of tools, DXperience 12.1, delivers the next step toward realizing the vision of DXv2. New tools in DXperience
12.1 continue to invest in touch across multiple platforms, help developers to create stunning user experiences with themes for
iOS, and deliver unmatched developer productivity through our CodeRush productivity add in.
And we’re not done. On Sept 17, 2012, we announced the Preview of DXTREME ENTERPRISE – optimized tools to help you deliver multi-channel solutions targeting Windows 8, iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. As we push the edge of our DXv2 vision, we will be delivering products that take our customers even further than they may have imagined.
The DXv2 Vision for the Future
With all of this focus on innovation one might incorrectly assume that our vision for the future leaves behind some tried and
true development platforms, like WinForms and even VCL. Our heritage has been built on the promise that we will embrace
new technologies but never at the expense of our existing customers. DXv2 is a vision for the future and part of that vision is to
help developers who are using legacy applications to leverage the skills that they have today as the foundation for the
applications they want to build tomorrow.
This is an exciting time for developers, where applications are being re-imagined, new platforms are emerging, design is at the
center of the conversation and, mobile strategies are becoming critical. The next generation of developer tools will need to rise
to this challenge, across platforms and with unparalleled service. We are so excited to see what develops.
