Data Printing and Export

The XtraGrid Suite gives you numerous data exchange options by providing WYSIWYG data printing along with data export to many popular file formats.

Data Export

The XtraGrid is not just about viewing and editing data from a predefined data source. You can easily provide inter-application communication by utilizing data export features provided by the XtraPrinting Library (must be purchased separately). You can export any view to a stream or a file using one of the following formats:

• TXT, XML (with accompying XSL), HTML, XLS, PDF.

Our View Technology provides extremely flexible export options. You can export any individual detail with the same ease as you do for the entire grid. All you need is just a single code line. And since the XtraGrid delegates exporting tasks to the XtraPrinting Library, grid export routines offer you the same flexible options as available to you when printing data. Printing and Rendering via the XtraPrinting Library

The XtraGrid, allows you to render and print its contents via the XtraPrinting Library - which must be purchased separately. Not only can you render the contents of the grid onto paper, you can also export to the following graphic file formats:

• BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, WMF, EMF.

Numerous options are available to you when printing, including:

• You can enable automatic group expansion in printed Views.
• You can prohibit detail printing.
• You can enable automatic detail expansion in printed Views.
• You can specify the styles used for the printed grid separately from the styles that are used to paint the grid on-screen.
• You can specify whether the printed views should be automatically resized to fit the entire page.
• You can hide or show particular elements like grid lines, footers, etc.
• Numerious customization options are available to end-users directly within the print preview window.
