WPF Navigation Bar

Office 2007 Style Navigation Pane

This is the Microsoft Office 2007 style Navigation Pane, an advanced version of the Side Bar view. Both these layout types allow only one expanded group. Unlike the Side Bar view, the Navigation Pane always displays group headers at the bottom. It also allows you to control how many headers are displayed by moving some of them into the Overflow Panel where they are repesented by a set of icons. Finally, this view type allows you to collapse the entire navigation bar thus providing more space for other controls. Active group content can be accessed via a popup window.

The Office 2007 Style layout type works best when you need to embed controls into groups, since the active group's content is always displayed at the same position providing a consistent experience.
