Unmatched End-User Capabilities
Text Input Enhancements
Our editor controls offer the following features that allow users to type less and experience more productivity during data entry.
- Masked Input
Via advanced masked input support, you can reduce the amount of text entered by your customers.
- Automatic String Completion in Masked Editors
- Automatic String Completion in Editors with Dropdown Lists
Value Scrolling
- Value Scrolling Via the Keyboard and Mouse Wheel
- Option Selection
Selecting a value by scrolling is available in all controls with dropdown lists (even when the dropdown is closed).
- Numeric Value Scrolling
Our SpinEdit control allows value scrolling by a specified increment value. If you apply a numeric mask to an editor, you will be provided with additional, flexible scrolling options.
- Date-Time Value Scrolling
If a date-time mask is applied to an editor, end-users can move focus between the date or time portion of the control using navigation keys. Scrolling affects the currently focused region. When a region is scrolled beyond its maximum range, it is reset to the minimum value without affecting other regions.
Miscellaneous
- Clipboard Operations Support
- Image Editor Context Menu
All Image Editors allow users to load images from files on disk or copy them to the editor via the clipboard.
- Resizable Dropdown Windows
Our editor controls allow end-users to manipulate the actual size of individual dropdown lists. With this powerful feature, you'll never have to worry about selecting the appropriate size for your dropdowns at design time, thus enabling you to deliver a more robust experience to your end-users.
- Incremental Filtering in ComboBoxEdit and LookUpEdit Controls
You can force the ComboBoxEdit and LookUpEdit controls to filter the contents of their dropdowns based upon values entered by the end-user. Each time a new character is entered, the dropdown list is updated to display only the items that match the entered characters.
