Document Views and Layout
End-users can adjust the document view to their particular requirements using the following features:
Predefined Views
Just like Microsoft Word®, the DevExpress Rich Text Edit Control provides multiple predefined document layouts and allow you to freely switch between them while working on a document.
Whether you are editing, reading or formatting a document – the DXRichEdit Suite for Silverlight offers a suitable view for each action type.
Zooming Documents In and Out
All text processing features are available at any zoom level.
Sections, Columns, Headers and Footers
Use sections to specify parts of a document that have different page orientation, columns, or headers and footers. Headers and footers can be different for the first page, odd and even pages. You can insert page numbering that shows the current page number, as well as the total number of pages in the entire document.
Ruler and Tab Stops
The DXRichEdit can display horizontal and vertical rulers within Draft and Print Layout views.
With these rulers, you can easily replicate functionality found in Microsoft Word® - set document margins, customize paragraph indents, change table column width and table row height, and specify tab stops.
Line Numbering
You can add line numbering to document margins for certain types of legal documents. Line numbers can run continuously throughout the document, restart on each page or section or be suppressed for a specific paragraph.
