When we think about business applications, we can all agree that there are many features required by users including reporting/printing, exporting, data analysis, look and feel and so on. I use the XtraGrid (the best data grid that I have seen on the market) for presenting data to my users. I present thousands of records using the XtraGrid and my clients use functions such as sorting, grouping, and filtering without any performance problem. In addition to this, it has fantastic exporting and printing facilities.

Reporting was another problem we needed to deal with. We tried to use SQL Reporting Services, but it did not meet our needs. We used XtraReports Suite for all reporting processes, because with XtraReports, we designed numerous report models, and were able to export our reports to many other useful data formats without any problem such as version issues (Microsoft Office). Another important feature is the Report Designer since users (including my managers) can design their reports and use them without any developer assistance. Furthermore, we use XtraPivotGrid and XtraCharts for data analysis and advanced reporting.

I can design a data entry form in a few minutes with great data validation with the XtraLayout Control. My users can design their own user interfaces based on their needs. It is amazing. I even developed a CONTROL BASED security system using the XtraLayout Control. Now, my managers can set user permissions by hiding/showing controls.

Since I began using your components for all my projects I have not used any other .NET framework component except for the File Dialog controls. Thank You!

I have found the DevExpress components to be the best there is. Let me explain why. Their components are developed with precision and expertise. Their documentation is exceptional and thorough. I find their appearance to be the best there is. With little effort a developer is able to create a professional looking application that far exceeds other after-market component suites.

I've used /name of competitor removed/ suite of components only to find out that they are illogical and poorly written. When you have a component that is disabled but you're still able to focus the control that tells me it's poorly written.

Every contract position I take I always highly suggest that my employer purchase the DevExpress suite of components. When they do purchase the products, it's nothing but praise for my work because it looks so good. It's really not my hard work, but the developers behind the DevExpress components that deserve the praise.

I sell a commercial product called TaskPilot that's written using the DevExpress components and get compliments all the time on it's professional look and feel. The new version will implement the new Ribbon Bar component which just adds to the existing professional look and feel.

Their eXpress Persistent Objects (XPO) is a far superior Object Relational Mapping (ORM) component compared to what's out there now. Its fast, has great performance, and easy to implement. This ORM is being implemented in the new version of TaskPilot. Working with a database is now easier than ever.

I have been using DXperience for about a year. I have found the components from DevExpress to have consistently high quality and in most cases to be much easier to use than their competitors.

From the scheduling components with Outlook functionality and an easy to use reporting suite to the editing and spell check components you have a suite that make any project easier to build.

The grid component in DXperience is one of the easiest I have ever used. Many of us have used grid components and needed a certain type of editor in a cell. DevExpress makes that easy with its Persistent Repository. The repository allows you to add different types of editors and then use those editors in multiple columns and grids. This process alone can save you many hours. In addition the grid has extensive filtering and sorting capabilities as well as built in export functionality to Excel, PDF and other formats.

The feature I am now beginning to use and one that will eventually pay huge dividends is the eXpressPersistent Objects, this product will allow me to use fully the business objects that I create for organization and not have to worry as much about database mapping. Being a lone developer I value the time this will save me.

One final word, the support team at DevExpress has always been very helpful as well as very quick in answering any and all questions. If you need a component then I highly recommend DevExpress.

Wow! The DevExpress ASPxperience Suite is simply the best. I needed a great menu component for 'taw.NET' and DevExpress delivered. The completeness of the components implementation is immediately evident when you use it in a project. The styling options are easy to use and customize. The server-side and client-side API's are full featured and well documented. The Visual Editors are simple to use, powerful and a huge time saver.

I was able to replace our menu system with little effort and was so impressed with the menu component that I decided to look at other areas to use DevExpress components. At 'taw.NET', we have a JavaScript-based carousel on our home page. I was able to use the TabStrip and Timer components in the DevExpress ASPxperience Suite to replace the carousel with ridiculous ease. This shows just how much can be done with this great suite of ASP.NET components.

I am excited about what I can accomplish with DevExpress components. I will be using the DevExpress ASPxperience Suite extensively for 'taw.NET' and future projects. Thanks DevExpress.

In general the controls are very advanced. They have a lot of options and I was surprised about two demos actually being based on the same control and still looking very different. At the same time they are very easy to style and implement. Most of them without a lot of code and delivered with the nice styling templates.

I really like the gridview control. The built-in AJAX, paging, filtering, editing support with templates looks very nice. You can do almost everything in the markup without writing any code. This is what a gridview should be.

The menu is also very nice. It does what any menu should do: style easily, be animated and load dynamically. The popup control is also a lot more advanced as the modal popup extender from the ajax control toolkit, but still easy to implement.

The tab control is really one of my favorites. Not any other tab control I found has the option to have other tab panels load with ajax. Either you have a postback or everything is downloaded to the client. Again, just what it has to do and it looks very nice in the glass style…

A little over a year ago, after several years of programing in the UNIX/Linux world, I had the opportunity to program using .NET. I'd played around with Mono, but was new to Visual Studio and Microsoft's .NET implementation. I started programming an application using the libraries that shipped standard with .NET, which I soon found to be lacking in functionality and aesthetics. ADO was cumbersome; though certainly usable. The "eye-candy" simply was not there--the buttons did not even look like XP. The interface looked eerily similar to TCL/TK's Motif look, (Well, not really, but it looked just as bad) which was without question not good enough.

I new there must be some libraries out there that would provide the needed functionality and aesthetics that I wanted. I took a step-by-step approach to searching for UI controls and business object classes, with which I was having issues. I first looked for solutions to problems with buttons, list boxes, tabs, etc... So I took them one-by-one and searched for better implementations. I found pieces and parts from many vendors that stood well on their own, but most were not complete and that made integration and overall consistency a daunting task. It was when I was searching for an ADO helper/replacement that I came across DevExpress's eXpress Persistent Objects.

I downloaded the trial version and was able to replicate weeks worth of work in a matter of hours. I then downloaded the entire DXperience Enterprise bundle. Well, let's just say I've never went searching for any other component since then. Their libraries are first class. They are consistent and complete. Their developers are first class, just take a look at their source code. (You have to purchase it, but you probably should anyway.) Their support staff is first class. Any question that I have asked has been responded to in less than 24 hours. (Some responses were made at 2:30 a.m.) Their user forums are active and have a wide array of community support. If you are considering using DevExpress's tools, do so. You won't regret it for a second.

We are a growing software development company from India and were deciding to go in for some third party open source components available free and DevExpress components. Finally we decided to invest into these components and I am more than pleased to say that we have reaped benefits more than expected. Many of our clients are amazed with the quality of rapid developed User Interfaces and professional look with a quick turn around we could provide them.

At the same time though it has increased the expectations of our customers but we are able to fulfill only because of the excellent tools we have from DevExpress. What add to the cherry on the top of the ice-cream is the "Quality of Support and Quick Support".

I myself coming from an accounting background always try and compare the return on investments. Our development team earlier had only one source of help which was MSDN or search on google prior to support. Subsequently recent after 4 months we started experimenting with DevExpress support, and again more than pleased to say that I would place on record that the DevExpress support team lives by their message "Support – Your Extended Team".

They have been as our extended team supporting and answering our queries. It has been one of the most amazing experience on the "Speed", "Reliability", "Details", "Examples of Code" in support just makes life easier and we are on an average drink 2 cups of less coffee every day. :-)

Thank you Team and wish you a very happy and a prosperous new year.

I run a small software development company focusing on developing various tailored e-commerce products. It is very important to us to be able to produce high quality professional applications within a short time span.

For our most recent products we have been using another control suite, which we have had several issues with, causing us to lose several days worth of productivity resolving minor display glitches. We had been using the eXpress Persistent Objects and the ASPxperience products in conjunction with the other controls suite and we found them quite the contrast. The DevExpress products, by contrast, were far easier to use and tailor to our needs.

When the time came to renew my subscription for the competing product, I decided to download the trial DXperience Enterprise suite. After a few days of playing with the controls, I not only found them far easier to use, but also far more feature complete and visually appealing. Since then I have been using the DXperience products, and have even revised some of my existing products to exclusively use them.

Between the great support provided by DevExpress and the rich set of controls and tools provided both for the end user and developer I don't believe it's possible to make the wrong decision when deciding to switch to the DevExpress products.

Alex Brunner, Senior Developer .NET (ALL CONSULTING AG, Switzerland)

We've been using XtraReports to migrate all our reports that were developed with <we have omitted the name of the competitor> or with <we have omitted the name of the competitor>. It was a great experience to see that this reporting tool fully developed with .NET will give us a really stable and extensible reporting environment.

This positive experience lead to the decision to replace all other third party components by the ones included in DXperience Enterprise Edition. We also appreciate the quick response times on support issues - there are other vendors which could learn a lot from you.

You are doing a great job and I would like to thank you for that.

John Pugh (Nathean Technologies Ltd)

Our mission in Nathean Technologies Ltd is to deliver innovative visual analysis to client organizations coupled with a world-class user experience. As users of Delphi since its inception, we have extensive experience of numerous third party component sets - DevExpress has stood head and shoulders above them all in professionalism, support and continual enhancement. The support received has been first class - if a solution is not possible - an alternative approach is suggested. In fact, in an ideal world Delphi would ship with DevExpress as standard!

Niko Suni, Windows/DirectX MVP

Refactor! Pro enables us to easily promote prototype code to production-ready state, while encouraging robust development practices.

James M. Shipley, Software Solutions Engineer (Mayfran International, Inc.)

I would just like to take a minute to commend you guys on your excellent support. I have had several questions and issues and your staff has ALWAYS answered them to my satisfaction. Great job!

Kim Major, Senior Developer (Renaissance Computer Systems Ltd)

In general people were pretty blown away by the speed of development using your tools (CodeRush). The hardest part was to slow down and actually explain what I was doing, and not leave them behind in the dust.

Rick A. Truant (Children's Aid Society of London and Middlesex)

I have a great app that allows overlaying database objects on floor plans, had it for about 7 months, tried everything to figure out how to get a print out ... bought, installed and configured your component into my app ... 10 minutes, no maybe 7 minutes later I have a complete printout!!!! Worth every nickel and my compliments to your developers!!

Juan Carlos Guzmán

I like your components, I think you are excellent and the support is of "World Class". For more than 5 years I am working with your components and I can do excellent applications and the best is I am enjoy to do, work with your components is a Pleasure.

Now I want say Thank You to all people team of DevExpress for developing these tools and the effort day to day for make best tools.

Robert Dunham

Thank You very much. In this day and age, it is hard to find honesty in anyone much less a company. I hope to have a long relationship with DevExpress. I choose DevExpress because your company seems to be in tune with what is in demand and at an affordable price for the average person. I will recommend your company to my fellow developer friends.

David Thielen

If I had known how good your tech support was before picking which controls to buy I never would have even looked at the other libraries. I'm very happy with your support and very happy we made the enterprise purchase to get the expedited support.

Mark Dunn, Regional Director (Microsoft)

I just wanted to drop you a few lines to say how satisfied we are with the product line from DevExpress. We were introduced to CodeRush through the MVP Program and quickly became addicted to the productivity gains with our coding efforts. We've also used Refactor!, ASPxNavBar, ASPxMenu and ASPxSiteMapControl in several client engagements. The controls are high quality and deliver as promised which is something I can't say for many other control suites we've used over the past five years.

I'm continually impressed with the level of support offered by DevExpress and the enhancements you keep pouring into the product line. We now recommend DevExpress tools and controls to every consulting client we work with.

Ashwin Kumar, MCSD.NET, IT Dept, Programmer (ABC Radio Networks)

I am very impressed with the level of customer service that Max and his team have extended to me. I was evaluating their Refactor product, and when I hit upon an issue, they were extremely prompt in working with me to simulate it and they put out a fix almost overnight!! Keep up the great work!

Dan Haligas (Gridgistics, LLC)

I have used just about every .NET component package and no one even comes close to DevExpress.
