I've been developing an application to raise funds for an NPO in South Africa and recently evaluated various Data Grids for both Silverlight and WPF. It's very apparent that apart from must-have CodeRush and Refactor tools available from DevExpress that the WPF/Silverlight Suite of controls is exceptionally rich in pedigree and feature set. The built-in editors available in the DataGrids such as amongst others, a Marquee progress bar, Calculator and Radio group controls surpass anything else around; and this coupled with a slick, powerful range of controls such as DX Printing and the exceptional Scheduling control set make this a must have addition to your WPF / Silverlight Control Library.

Our flagship product needed extensive visualizations including charts and graphs. We were looking for a single charting system that could address all of these needs, and handle large volumes of data. It needed to look attractive yet blend into our application. With XtraCharts we were able to create high performance, real-time graphs of performance data through to detailed analytical bar charts. XtraCharts was the only option that was fast enough to handle the tens of thousands of data points our customers routinely throw at it.

DevExpress made it easy to fully integrate the experience of displaying, exporting, and printing these charts. It looks so seamless that our customers think we did it all ourselves, which is exactly the point. Not only does it have great built-in charting support but just about every behavior can be customized, which is essential for a commercial application where customers expect everything to look perfect.

I searched all the products in the market and found out that what suit my requirement as a business is DevExpress. In addition, the most component that attract me is the PivotGrid. Until now there is no component that enables you to embed your Fact tables in an application and allows you to play around with them online such as DevExpress components.

Furthermore, support team and their assistance with answers, code samples and test projects helped me resolve all my questions/issues. Excellent job and well done to the development, management, documentation, support teams and everyone else involved.

When I was asked to help a non-profit replace their existing VB6/Access Reporting system, I knew I was going to need some tools for replacing those Access reports. I was drawn to DevExpress because of the XtraReports suite, but when I demo'd the full DXperience ASP.NET suite I was shocked at how much easier it would make building the entire application. This is by far the most productive I've ever been and the most fun I've ever had with ASP.Net! DevExpress delivers on how I always wished web programming would work. And the support is outstanding. I constantly recommend them to other developers now.

I think it's fantastic that you've added Right-to-Left support in DevExpress ASP.NET Controls. I am very happy to learn about this news. DevExpress is the best and I love your products! Thanks!

The VCL controls by DevExpress help us to develop high-end software solutions. This is a benefit to both our developers and our customers. Additionally we are able to implement state-of-the-art UI elements that always fit and mostly surpass latest standards.

DevExpress is the component suite that is core to our applications. They are a great set of components, not without their issues, but on the whole, of great benefit to us.

I find the knowledgebase, forums and the online help to be really helpful when developing new functionality in our apps.

I thought CodeRush was designed so that we developers can create our own plugins easily; didn't know DevExpress also does this for CodeRush users. Now this is personalised customer service! Knew I made the right choice picking you guys! =)

My first reason to start using eXpress Persistent Objects (XPO) is that it will do all the schema changes for you without the need to maintain external SQL script file. The second reason for XPO is that it's just fun to switch database backend by only changing your connection string. The third appeared to me when I was actually developing CMS2GO v3. It is so flexible and they really are Persistent Objects! Inheritance, overriding and all basic OOP features can be done.

Also the way you can direct XPO how and where to store data is really great, and complicated queries are no longer needed once you've mastered the “Simplified Criteria Syntax”. Actually you don't really need to master this since it's quite logical and works like one would expect.

Before I decided to start using the ASP.NET controls of DevExpress, I have tested quite a bit of 3rd party component libraries. The way DevExpress controls work, their performance, Visual Studio integration including documentation, and the really great JavaScript implementation on the client is just really well done.

If these are not enough reasons, the controls are THE sexiest looking controls in any browser even with the standard theme applied.

DevExpress has great quality Silverlight 4 controls that will allow developers to create Line of Business Application quickly and efficiently. I would recommend them to anyone serious about Rapid Application Development.

I have had incredibly good support from your staff. All issues have been addressed quite quickly. I cannot tell you how satisfied I am to see that the good old DevExpress technologies are alive and well and doing their job.

Our company's products are critically dependant on the DevExpress component suite and it is strategic for us that you have good business. Many thanks to your fellow workers.

I'm a happy customer using the eXpress App Framework. I found that it kick starts my project having a consistent professional customisable user interface, validation, security system, reporting and localisation already in place. With XAF I can focus on the business logic and features important for my end user without wasting time on the “plumbing”.

Their documentation is good; there are lots of useful examples and videos. There is a bit of a learning curve to XAF but thereafter you can be very productive. When considering an application framework such as XAF I was concerned that I'll run into lots of limitations. So far I've been pleasantly surprised to find solutions and workarounds for my questions.

Well done to the development, management, documentation, support teams and everyone else involved. I must indeed complement the support team. I've dealt with Dennis, Roman, Michael, Anatol and Konstantin and found them to be competent, friendly and helpful. Their response times were decent and their assistance with answers, code samples and test projects helped me resolve my questions/issues.

Thanks again DevExpress for great products and impressive customer service.

I am responsible for maintaining the proprietary software that our organization uses to track our clients. My job would be all but impossible without DevExpress components. The XtraGrid Suite alone has saved me hundreds of hours of development time not to mention my sanity. If you are in need of components and tools that help you get the job done quickly and efficiently then look no further than DevExpress. You will not be disappointed.

It's pretty easy for me to preach about how much I appreciate DevExpress, but really hard to know where to begin.

We first purchased the ASP.NET controls late in 2008 for a particular SharePoint web part that required a nested grid and “speedometer” progress gauges. I looked at several option before making a purchase, but selected DevExpress over the others for two reasons. First, the ASPxGridView appeared to do what I needed. Second (and more importantly), I was familiar with Julian Bucknall and his reputation for solid products and good service at Turbopower back in the day. To a degree, I was taking a chance.

I have not been disappointed. In fact, DevExpress has far exceeded my expectations. The controls operate as advertised, are extremely powerful, and offer a level of flexibility that out-of-the-box Microsoft controls will never match. But in some sense, I expected that. The whole reason one purchases 3rd-party controls is because they're better.

What really has set DevExpress apart is the company's customer service. Every time I submit a question, regardless of whether it's super-simple or otherwise, someone answers in a timely fashion (usually within 24 hours) with a detailed response. If my question isn't clear, I can actually send a sample project, and someone at DevExpress will attempt to work the solution for me. I can't imagine there are many companies that offer that kind of support.

In one recent case, even after offering me a viable solution for a question I had concerning the ASPxUploadControl, the support person (in this case, Vest) asked for permission to look at working out an even more efficient solution to my problem. In my mind, this is “Medal of Honor” support...going way above and beyond the call of duty. And this wasn't just Vest and it wasn't just for me. As I look through the question and support forums, I find example after example of this kind of service.

Superb online documentation, hundreds of practical code examples, demos with code included, dozens of video tutorials, it just goes on and on. We love DevExpress tools, but we love the support even more. You all make my job easier and our finished products better. As long as you guys turn the lights on each morning, we'll be customers.

Petr Parik (Czech Red Cross)

I am a voluntary developer of Czech Red Cross. Because I only can work for Red Cross in my free time, speed of development is crucial for me. And that is why I chose DevExpress ASP.NET components for our new Intranet project. DevExpress components allow me to provide new features and functions in short time. They also offer rich user experience for our users - employees and volunteers of Czech Red Cross. The Intranet will improve communication throughout our organization, so it can better and more efficiently perform its activities. Many thanks to DevExpress for supporting us in this effort!

I can't begin to thank you enough for taking the time to help me last Friday with the issues I was having with reporting. I spent the weekend converting my clients current reports to XtraReports. I learned a great deal about the reporting tool and my client is thrilled about the charts and new capabilities we are going to have moving forward. Within the next hour I will have the other companies tool uninstalled and be totally on DevExpress reporting.

As a side note I also uninstalled <Competitor Product Omitted> as soon as we got off the phone Friday and installed CodeRush. I used to use CodeRush when I first started programming with visual studio back in 2007. I eventually stopped using it because it does so much, as a new programmer I was totally intimidated by it. Now that I have gone back to it, I can appreciate what it does and although I have a long way to go, I am enjoying the experience of learning how to use it.

We are a small consulting company that provides specialized environmental software solutions to state governments across the United States. Our solutions are highly technical and must be delivered to our clients with first-class quality and under strict deadlines. We diligently evaluated each leading third-party .NET component vendor before deciding to partner with DevExpress. The choice was clear for us since DevExpress excels in every area of our evaluation. DevExpress produces high-quality, robust, and extensible software components for both desktop and web-based applications; they provide an array of top-notch documentation, support materials, code examples, and forums; their issue response time is unmatched in the industry; and, finally, they have a history of performing at these superior levels over many years.

I thought I'd email you just to say that I think your product is terrific, and the support you offer your customers is fantastic. I've been using DevExpress controls for a few years now, and am always impressed by them, and always impressed by how easily I can get help from your support team. Well done, and thanks for all your help.
