About Our Company
Diktyo was founded in Thessaloniki in 1998 by Anastasios Kapoukranidi, Aristides Macaronas and Chris Tsantekidis. The company has spent that last twenty three years developing information technology. Our staff of twenty proudly serves our two thousand customers. Our services include:

Our Vision
With our long-time experience in consulting and support, we were looking forward to develop a platform for a commercial application (LOB) that would meet the trading and economic complexities of modern-day Greek companies. At the same time, we wanted to keep our development and maintenance costs low, without putting limits on functionality or technology. Our existing information systems did not have the capability to fully meet customer requirements. We constantly needed to perform heavy configurations and extra coding. That is why we were looking for a way to develop applications with an easy configuration that could be made even by an end-user.
Why DevExpress and XAF
After realizing that we needed a framework and a set of powerful development tools, we tested the products of many vendors. This is when we came across DevExpress and its eXpress Application Framework; we knew right away that we had finally found what we were looking for. DevExpress outshined its competitors when it came to all the main factors of solid product development – Quality, Speed, Support and Cost!
- Quality
DevExpress provides a powerful set of tools - Report Designer, Pivot Designer, View Designers, etc. These tools can even be used by end-users to adjust their systems to fit their needs. In addition, DevExpress’ XAF has a very power localization tool and provides us with the capability to use both the world of the Desktop and the Web simultaneously. - Speed
To speed up the process of fulfilling customer requirements, we follow the methodology of extreme programming combined with parallel programming. These call for code reusability, modular development and very powerful programming – something provided by XAF and other DevExpress tools.
- Support
We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the DevExpress support. We found a lot of answers in demos, training videos, documentation and the Knowledge Base. What struck us most, is how quickly and efficiently our support inquiries receive a response – usually within a few hours and sometimes within minutes. This is why DevExpress Support is the best.
- Cost
It was clear that DevExpress is the best value for our money. Not only does it help us concerve our resources with its out-of-the-box functionality, but it also provides very affordable maintenance prices.
